Alaska Through 26 Street International

Located in the heart of Alaska's largest city, nestled between the Chugach Mountains and Cook Inlet. Our convenient mid town location allows visitors easy access to bus, train and national park shuttle services.

Anchorage is a municipality in southern Alaska and also a seaport on the Knik and Turnagain arms of Cook Inlet, at the base of the Chugach Mountains. It is the largest city in the state and serves as the center for transportation, commerce, and communications for much of central and western Alaska. It is connected by Glenn Highway to the Alaska Highway, a road to Dawson Creek, British Columbia. It is also served by Anchorage International Airport, which is a major International hub for air freight.

Tourism has become a mainstay of the Alaskan economy, proving to be one of the major wonderful destinations around the world. Situated in an area of spectacular beauty, the opportunities in Anchorage for outdoor recreation are enormous but the city also is home to a number of cultural institutions. Museums include the Anchorage Museum of History and Art; the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, which houses vintage aircrafts dating from 1929 to 1944; and the Railroad Museum, in nearby Chugach State Park. The city is also the site of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, the Alaska Botanical Garden, and the Oscar Anderson House, a restored home built in 1915.

Our location is also just blocks from many important points of interest. Whether your interest is hiking, nordic skiing, wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, rafting, dog mushing, snowmobiling, northern lights, golfing, flight seeing, fishing, canoeing, downhill skiing, performing arts, Alaska's Native culture, panning for gold, kayaking, baseball, bird watching, fine cuisine, hockey, Fur Rendezvous, Iditarod Trail sled dog race, whale watching, snow boarding, bicycling, wildlife and glacier cruises, museums, nightlife, or shopping and many of these activities can be day trips from our mid town location.

Located in the heart of Anchorage, spenard.  Close to trails, shoping centers and bus routes. From Anchorage International Airport take bus#7 to 26th ave. and Spenard, walk half a block east on 26th ave. to 1037 West 26th  or call for directions. One mile from downtown, bus and train stations. Cab fare from the airport is $15 to $18.
